Welcome to CraniusMaximus, a blog devoted to psychedelics, entheogens, as well as other mind expansion techniques, and their impact on human consciousness. For now, I will just welcome you and leave you with a picture of my Datura plant in bloom recently. My family refers to the Dature plant as “the magic bean stalk” because of how tall the plant has grown since summer. So far it has flowered twice, and is currently producing a nice thorny seedpod so I can try to grow another one come spring! While I’ve enjoyed growing this plant, I would not attempt to bio-assay this one. The nature of the experience seems to be that of an extreme reality shifting delirium, and I have read far too many train wreck experiences where people took Datura and ended up naked, vacuuming the roof, covered in blood and glass shards…
I think for now, until I have a few acres of land and a sitter strong enough to restrain me, I will just enjoy growing the plant and learning about its history and leave the Datura eating to Carlos Casteneda. It is a rather striking plant…
