Dumbledore Gay: possible new Village People Album!

Posted by Catfish as books, gay

At a recent speaking engagement at Carnegie Hall in New York, JK Rowling answered a young fan’s question by stating that Dumbledore was gay and had been in love with rival wizard Gellert Grunndlewald for years…this will give fans a whole new reason to go back and re-read the series, looking for such gems as the following passage of Dumbledore speaking to Harry in book 7:

“You cannot imagine how his ideas caught me, Harry, inflamed me.” (italics added of course)

Mostly this admission is being perceived as a positive gesture that will help normalize people’s perception of how being gay defines a person, which is admittedly a great thing. However, a million jokes about wizard’s wands and alternative uses for broomsticks aside, does it really take a freakin’ Wizard to fight for Gay rights and to help normalize people’s perception of gays? But, when I pause and reflect, I should not be so quick to jump to judgment. A wizard makes perfect sense as a champion of equal gay rights when you line him up next to an American Indian , a construction worker, a police officer, an army man, and leather wearing “biker”and a Navy Seaman…err I mean sailor.

Alls I have to say is, poor, poor Neville Longbottom.

So way to go JK Rowling, you’ve expanded my horizons of exactly what types of people in the world are gay.

Rowling added, “I would have told you earlier if I knew it would make you so happy.”

What sex is your brain?

Posted by Catfish as gay, sexuality

I thought I almost had a date. I thought maybe if my brain would turn out to be female, then I could date it, expect to find all the right female parts to interact with my male parts, have cranius maximus headed babies and live happily ever after. It turns out, I fall somewhere between the average male and the average female, leaning towards the male side. So, if I date my brain, I’d be considered kinda gay, but not say gay as to be all up in Lance Bass’s brain’s koolaid. Am I still making sense? Too many tests stress me out…now it’s your turn:
